An Eid ul Fitr event was held at the WTO on Tuesday, 28 July 2015. Pakistan co-organized this event, along with, other WTO Members that included Bahrain, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
It was for the first time any such Eid celebrations were ever held at the WTO. Organizers served traditional sweets and other homemade delicacies to the WTO Members and its Secretariat.
The event registered a heavy attendance from the WTO members, including the Director-General WTO who visited the Pakistani stall, among others, and applauded organizers for the event.
Having received a lot of acknowledgement, organizers agreed to continue this tradition and encouraged other Members to join them in the upcoming Eid ul Azha event.
