Trade and Development

The development concerns are mandated in the Doha Agenda under the following main areas:

• The review of special and differential treatment provisions for developing countries and LDCs in WTO Agreements.

• The implementation related issues and concerns of WTO Agreements.

There is a general realization that development concerns are spread all over the Doha Development Agenda (DDA) issues and an overall development package will result not only from the above issues but also from various market access issues and resolution of issues such as TRIPS and Public Health, removal of subsidies on cotton, etc.
